Why use
consultants or freelancers?

Financial
- Although
the initial costs of consultants may seem expensive, this has to be
set against the fact that there are no hidden overhead costs and
once the project is completed, there are no ongoing employment costs
etc
q Skills -
Sometimes a client does not have the requisite expert skills
in-house
that are required to meet the task - it is
often more
cost effective to employ an independent
adviser who has
q Focus on the project - permanent employees often have
other priorities. They are concerned with day-to-day
activities and may not be able to set time aside to take on
additional responsibilities. The Freelancer has a fixed
deadline and will focus 100% on the
